The Mile High Club was created to solicit donations in celebration of the episode numbers 747, 757, 767, and 787 matching names in Boeing's wildly popular series of jetliners.
Quoting from the 8 August 2015 newsletter:
No Agenda is getting ready for show 747 and will commemorate what many consider the crowning achievement of aircraft design -- the Boeing 747. This is being done by introducing the No Agenda Mile High club with any donation of $52.80 (5280 feet make a mile). This way No Agenda producers can say “Yes, I’m in the Mile High club” if anyone asks. And it will be true!
This offer ends shortly after show 747.
