Just Getting Tech is a weekly podcast about technology, such as mobile computing, online services, technology companies, and the people who help to influence the direction of the technology industry. Just Getting Tech plays in rotation on the No Agenda Stream. From their About page:
Hello everyone, welcome to the online home of Just Getting Tech. Just Getting Tech is a podcast hosted by Craig and Andrew recorded and released every Sunday. Craig and Andrew discuss topics related to technology, such as mobile computing, online services, technology companies, and the people who help to influence the direction of the technology industry.
The Beginning:
This show would not exist if it were not for the No Agenda Show, where noted technology columnist John C. Dvorak and media personality/entrepreneur/media assassin Adam Curry discuss in a biweekly format the latest news and other topics, focusing on deconstructing stories in order to expose misdirection and hypocrisy in the media and politics. Run entirely on the donations of listeners, No Agenda has a vast ecosystem surrounding it, usually listener-generated. One aspect of this is the No Agenda Stream where Adam Curry started a 24/7 online audio stream featuring the No Agenda Show and listener-produced shows, giving novices everywhere a chance to get heard. Just Getting Tech is exactly that, a show recorded by two guys in their early-mid twenties, just trying to get by. Recorded every Sunday for Monday release, Just Getting Tech is a constantly evolving experiment aimed at getting our voices heard. It is difficult to gain any traction in media, but the internet provides a level of democratization that allows for people, like Craig and Andrew, to take a chance.
